Eagles Hold the High-Scoring Falcons to 15 Points

The battle of the birds saw the Philadelphia Eagles fly all over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10. How did Philly manage to hold the league’s top offense (averaging 33.8 points per game) to just 15 points?

Well, the stingy Eagles defense managed to keep the Falcons out of the end-zone as they forced Matt Bryant to cash in on three field goals. Offensively, rookie quarterback Carson Wentz out-dueled Matt Ryan as he led his team from being down 15-13 to help defeat Atlanta, 24-15. The Eagles also used their rushing attack to control the clock as Ryan Mathews ran for 108 of the team’s 207 total rushing yards. Ryan was picked off late in the game to capitalize on Philly’s exceptional defensive performance.
